Part time weekend caretaker
We are looking for a responsible hands on Caretaker who has a positive and proactive approach to work and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to join our friendly team. This key role will be to ensure that the general maintenance, cleaning and security of our fantastic, newly refurbished Community Centre is maintained to an exceptionally high standard, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will have previous caretaking experience and be able to use their initiative to work independently, as well as working as part of the small team of cleaners and Charity staff to ensure the upkeep of the site. Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required; Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order, gardening and keeping the car park clean and safe, monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required, Setting up and clearing away tables and chairs for functions and meetings for hirers, some small DIY tasks such as painting and decorating. Adhering to the company’s safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone. Required from: October 2021 on a permanent contract Hours: 16 hours on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 08.00 to 19.00, start time and end time flexible between these hours. £9568.00 PA, Local Government Pension Scheme, Closing Date: 12:00 on 17th September 2021 Interviews: Week commencing 20th September 2021.
